Back to School!

I'm sorry that it's been a while. Note to self: never give yourself an unusual username that you'll most likely forget in a week #firstworldproblems . So quite a few things have happened in the past month :) One of them being....school; because, hurrah hurrah high school is so much fun!

Anyway, I started on August 5th. My classes included: Beginning Dance, Algebra 2 Honors, Chemistry Honors, English Honors, Concert Choir, and World History Honors, in case you were wondering.

However, if there's one thing I do enjoy about school, it's back to school shopping! Clothes, pencils, backpacks, the whole experience is very thrilling! In fact, I have a few back to school essentials:

1. Ticonderoga Pencils: Those are the yellow pencils with the green metal band on top and blessed erasers that actually work!
2. EOS Lip Balm: This little egg chap-sticks are so darn cute! They come in a variety of colors and flavors.
3. Maybelline Baby Lips: If you're not much of a chap-stick girl, this is the happy medium for you! They come in a variety of flavors and give the perfect tint of color for your lips.
4. Oil Absorbing Sheets: These little packages are like gold! If your skin is on the oilier side (I have combination skin) then just swipe this over your face wherever necessary, any time of day, and it will blot out the oil without ruining your makeup.
5. Cardigan: Simple sweaters that I absolutely adore! Sweet and sophisticated.
6. Ballet Flats: Comfortable and cute! Throw them on to dress up any outfit.

 

Shown above is the outfit I wore on the first day of school. I wore a navy blue cardigan (they had elbow patches!!) and a ivory tank top with a crochet design on the bust. I wore this with my favorite pair of blue jeans, and cheetah print ballet flats. I also curled my hair (with a straightener), and due to lack of time, did minimal makeup. Ha-ha!

Personally, cardigans and a dressy tops are one of my favorite styles!

 

But as far as the first day of school went, it was great! Being myself, the night before I was quite worried. I wouldn't have been able to get through it if it weren't for the many prayers that were said for me, and I am so grateful to those people.
